Fukuari's food is better than you'd expect
Fukuda Denshi Arena β "Fukuari" to locals β is home to JEF United Chiba. The stadium itself is modest (about 19,000 seats), but the match-day food stalls punch above their weight. Local Chiba restaurants set up shop on game days, offering food that rivals larger, more famous stadiums.
What to eat
Sausage platter
Fukuari's signature dish. Multiple types of grilled sausages on one plate for Β₯700-900. Simple, generous, and perfect with beer.
Seafood
Chiba Prefecture is surrounded by ocean. Aji-fry (fried horse mackerel), seafood rice bowls, and other fish dishes appear on match days depending on what local vendors bring.
Curry
Stadium curry is a J-League staple, but Fukuari's version comes from a local spice shop that takes it seriously. Not the usual mass-produced stuff.
Getting there
JR Soga Station, 8-minute walk. From Tokyo Station, take the JR Keiyo Line β about 40 minutes.
Timing
Gates open 90 minutes before kickoff. Get there early β the most popular food stalls sell out 30 minutes before the match starts. Saturday day games are the busiest.
How to buy tickets
Available through the JEF United official site and J-League ticket platform. Tickets are generally available and affordable β Β₯2,000-3,000 for unreserved seats.
